Question Formats Used in ACU Exams:

Autodesk certification exams validate an exam candidate’s knowledge and skill within scenario-based contexts via two question types:

  • - Live-in-the-Application questions: These questions require the candidate to complete a task or perform a function within the Autodesk application.
  • - Linear-based questions: These questions include traditional true/false, multiple choice or matching formats.

Benefits of Earning ACU Certification:

The certification validates the recipient’s technical ability and industry-standard proficiency. It is an official endorsement from Autodesk that the recipient has the know-how and skills to succeed in today’s job market. The certification is awarded based on the individual’s performance on either the project-based exam, where exam candidates are required to work through the questions directly in the Autodesk applications, or the ACU in Fusion 360 selective response exam where candidates answer questions directly tied to their knowledge of the software. All exams were created based on the research about design and engineering skills required by industry, government, and education.
